Hardstone consists mainly of limestone and is an acid-sensitive stone. So you need a good product to protect the bluestone. This oil protects against stains and moisture and gives a semi-gloss to all types of bluestone such as Belgian Bluestone, Chinese Bluestone, Irish Bluestone, Blue Stone and Vietnamese Bluestone. Resin stone oil also camouflages superficial damage to the stone because the stone absorbs the oil, causing the scratches to color with the stone. This way the scratches are less noticeable! How do you use the Bluestone Oil from StoneTech?
The surface should be cleaned for the best effect of the oil. be thoroughly clean and dry. It is recommended to clean the surface thoroughly with Moeller HMK R155 and then allow the surface to dry thoroughly. The surface may have a maximum residual moisture content of 2-4%, depending on the substrate, this is usually after 24 hours. Is the surface clean and dry? Only then can the oil be applied. Always shake the StoneTech Hardstone Oil well before use! Apply the oil thinly and evenly to the absorbent surface with a clean cloth or roller with short bristles. On a weakly absorbent surface, only apply the bluestone oil with a dry, lint-free (cleaning) cloth. Do not treat the entire surface at once, but do this part by part (maximum 0.7 m2 at a time).
The oil that has not been absorbed into the bluestone after approximately 10 to 15 minutes of drying time must be completely removed with another clean, lint-free (cleaning) cloth or cleaning paper (do not use the same cloth with which it was applied) until it no longer absorbs anything. None of the bluestone oil should remain on the surface, otherwise it can dry out and become sticky. If necessary, treat highly absorbent surfaces again after approximately 24 hours.
