Moeller HMK S245 is a solvent-free, silicone-based joint aid. The product greatly reduces the penetration of joint material into the surface. Especially suitable for use on highly absorbent ceramic surfaces such as Terra Cotta. Cleaning after grouting becomes considerably easier after using the Moeller HMK S245. Natural stone cannot be treated with the HMK S245!
How do you use the Moeller HMK S245?
Read the label carefully before using the product. Work on a clean, dry and stain-free surface. To properly clean the floor, we recommend using Moeller HMK R155. Before you start, test the product on, for example, an inconspicuous place or a loose tile to determine the effect, amount and working time of the S245.
Switch off the underfloor heating before treatment and allow the surface to cool to its natural temperature. Once concentrated, apply HMK S245 evenly and thinly to the surface using a roller with short bristles. Treat the entire tile. After a drying time of approximately 12 hours, grouting can begin.
Do not step on the surface during the drying time. Small amounts of HMK S245 that end up in the joint during application with the roller do not provide limited edge adhesion of the joint mortar.
What is the consumption?
Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, the consumption is approximately 10 up to 15 m2 per liter.
