Moeller HMK R777 Rust Converter for hard stones is a professional product from Moeller Stone Care. The HMK R777 is a special ready-to-use cleaning agent (concentrate) that converts rust and rust discolouration in the stone so that it can be removed. The Moeller HMK R777 is also suitable for removing limescale, hardened construction dirt, mortar residue, cement film from rust-containing natural stone and artificial stone. This product is only suitable for outdoor use and only suitable for acid-resistant types of stone.
Note! This product is only suitable for acid-resistant hard rocks. Although the name suggests otherwise, this product is NOT suitable for use on bluestone! The Moeller HMK R179 Rust Remover for Soft Stone is especially designed for calcareous and non-acid resistant natural stone types such as marble and limestone.
How do you use the R777 Rust Converter?
Read the label carefully before using the product. If this product is used on a floor and the floor has just been laid and grouted: Allow the floor to dry first after grouting (ask for advice from your tile supplier). Switch off the underfloor heating, the floor must be so-called stone cold. Before starting, test the product on an inconspicuous area or a loose tile to determine the degree of mixing, effect and working time. The R777 is only suitable for acid-resistant surfaces.
Apply HMK R777 pure to the surface to be treated and to the previously wetted joints and floor, always treat the entire surface. Let it work for 12 to 24 hours and scrub in between and keep it wet, do not let it dry and cover the whole thing with foil. After working with plenty of water and some Moeller HMK R155 Soil Cleaner 1:20 added, neutralize and rinse with plenty of clear water.
Carefully with HMK R777 on and around sensitive surfaces, stainless steel, chrome and bare metal and carefully with wood , various plastics, painted/lacquered surfaces and the like. Rinse off splashes immediately. Do not process HMK R777 in direct sunlight. When using a water vacuum cleaner, we recommend using Moeller HMK Z702 Defoamer in the water vacuum cleaner, which reduces foam formation.
Afterwards
If the above was intended as maintenance, you can immediately put the floor back into use to take. If the above was intended to subsequently protect the floor, allow the floor to dry further. Floors laid in mortar approximately 2 to 3 months and floors laid in adhesive approximately 21 to 30 days. Floors treated with HMK R777 may darken the surface somewhat. The surface must not be impregnated during this time and must only be cleaned with water with a small amount of HMK R155 Soil Cleaner - acid-free.
Safety
When processing HMK R777, the areas must be well ventilated, wear protective gloves, it is irritating to skin and eyes wear safety glasses or face protection. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and consult a doctor. Do not mix with other products. Contains acids. Causes etching marks. Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Bare metals and chrome are affected by direct contact or vapor formation. Remove food, odor transfer possible. Keep out of reach of children. Do not mix with other cleaning agents, impregnations, sealants or maintenance products.
