The KGS K28 Stain Guard is a solvent-based impregnating agent for polished and ground porous artificial stone, marble, granite and natural stone. This product provides protection against the penetration of water, oil and grease.

How do you use the KGS K28 Stain Stop?
Always shake well before use. In any case, the product should always be tried on an inconspicuous place first to see whether it is suitable and meets expectations. The surface must be clean and dry, all residues of other chemicals must first be completely removed. If necessary, cover all sensitive areas for solvents (e.g. sink) and protect against splashes. Distribute the impregnation with a roller or cloth. For very porous, highly absorbent surfaces, it is recommended to apply the product at least twice.
Remove excess material after 10-15 minutes with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not rub dry!
After a reaction time of at least 30 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours (for very dense materials), remove any remaining excess material with a cloth. If the surface absorbs the impregnation very strongly, a second layer can be applied after 12 to 24 hours at the earliest. This can happen with very porous surfaces that show defects because too little material has been applied. The second coat must dry for at least 48 hours.
The temperature of the surface to be processed must not be below 10 °C. When used outdoors, direct sunlight and/or rain should be avoided for the first 24 hours. The impregnation is usually completely hardened after 48 hours.
What is the consumption of this drug?
Consumption is always difficult to estimate. It can be assumed that the area is approximately 1.4 to 3 m2 per 200ml package. This yield information is only a guideline and may vary depending on the porosity and surface structure of the stone, ambient temperature, application method and other factors.
