Product description

Lithofin MN Cement Film Remover is for removing cement film from new floors, for thoroughly cleaning old floors and for removing rust and rust discolouration. Lithofin MN Cement Film Remover does not cause rust discolouration in iron-containing gneisses such as Serizzo, Cresciano, Calanca and in granite types such as Sardo.

Use

Depending on the degree of contamination Lithofin MN Cement Film Remover pure or 1 :10 diluted, apply evenly with a brush. After scrubbing for a few minutes, do not let it dry and rinse completely with water. Repeat this treatment if necessary.

Note! Do not use on polished and finely ground limestone surfaces (marble/granite). Certain types of natural stone can also be affected. Always try the product on a small test piece first. In certain cases, acidic cleaners can develop fumes that can affect sensitive surfaces. It is therefore recommended to always rinse thoroughly with water and to ventilate sufficiently after processing. You must protect acid-sensitive surfaces and parts such as eloxal, stained wood, chrome, marble, etc. against splashes.

TIP! Removing white efflorescence

White efflorescence is a phenomenon that often occurs on walls and facades, but also on terraces. This usually concerns lime and saltpeter deposits.

These minerals (dissolved in water) are transported from the subsurface to the surface of the natural stone. The continuous humidification outdoors activates processes that release salts that then deposit on the surface. Because the moisture transport in the joints is high, the most noticeable efflorescence occurs especially in those places. These deposits are invisible at the start because the rain also has a cleaning effect and washes away lime and salts. Only when the amount of salts deposited exceeds this capacity do white crusts form. From the more resistant natural stone types such as granite, gneiss, quartzite or sandstone, even the more stubborn lime efflorescence can be removed without any problems.

How it works: moisten the surface before applying. This allows the subsequently dissolved dirt to be completely rinsed off. Otherwise, the dissolved dirt will penetrate into the capillaries of porous natural stone and new efflorescence will occur again and again. In addition, pre-wetting ensures that cement-bound joints are protected during intensive action of Lithofin MN Cement Foil Remover. Depending on the degree of contamination, you can use Lithofin MN Cement Film Remover undiluted up to approximately 1:10 diluted with water. It is best to support the operation of the product with a scrub brush. After approximately 10 minutes you can rinse the surface thoroughly with water. In any case, do not let the cleaner and dirty scrubbing water dry.
